Child Safety Should Not Be a Luxury

Car seats. Cribs. Strollers.
These are not “extras” for parents. They are must-haves. In fact, in many cases, they are legally required to keep our children safe. We buy them not because we want to, but because we have to. Because keeping our kids protected is the most important thing we do.
But right now, something troubling is happening. Essential baby gear is about to be hit with tariffs. They are being lumped in with luxury goods, like handbags and designer shoes. And what that means is simple — parents are about to be forced to pay more for the basics they need to protect their children.
I do not think keeping a baby safe in a car seat should be treated the same as buying a new luxury purse. Do you?
That is why we are standing with REBEL (formerly Rebelstork) to demand that car seats, cribs, strollers, and other essential baby gear be exempt from these tariffs.
Parents are not an afterthought. We are voters. We are workers. We are raising the next generation. We are doing the hardest and most important job there is.

Child safety should not be a luxury. It should be a right. And together, we can make sure it stays that way.
