Welcome to Little Green Farmhouse
Hi, I’m Jackie — a mom, gardener, and web designer living in a cozy green farmhouse nestled near Mount Rainier. At Little Green Farmhouse, I share my life’s unfolding story: one rooted in the soil, shaped by motherhood, and deepened by my unexpected journey with lymphoma.
In early 2025, after months of recurring infections, groin swelling, and an intense shingles outbreak, I was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma. Like many, I had gone through waves of strange symptoms—rashes that came and went, fevers, fatigue, and a gut instinct that something deeper was going on. The diagnosis came with both relief and fear, and I’ve been documenting the highs and lows ever since — from my biopsy results and symptoms to the emotions that come with navigating a major health crisis while raising a family.
This blog is where I process the hard days and celebrate the beauty still unfolding — in our garden beds, at the kitchen table, and in small victories through treatment and healing. I write about everything from organic gardening and homeschooling to my experiences with cancer and self-advocacy in the medical system.
Little Green Farmhouse is a place where I hope readers feel less alone — whether you’re growing vegetables, raising babies, or facing something as big as cancer. Life can be fragile and fierce at the same time. I’m just here trying to live it fully.
